ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I trained at Kensington & Chelsea College for two years. I attend classes at Richmond Adult Community College and undertake various master classes. In 2018 I was awarded 'Commended' by the Contemporary Glass Society as part of their 2018 Graduate Review. I use a number of kiln-formed techniques although I am especially drawn to the delicacy of pâte de verre and the versatility of frits and powders. I work from my studio based in South West London. ARTISTS BACKGROUND
I have always been drawn to the sea; having spent my childhood on the south coast, my student years on the west coast of Wales and Scotland and the Falkland Islands and numerous holidays in Cornwall where I return to as often as possible. Influenced by my love of the sea I create pâte de verre and other kiln formed and cast works. The colours reflect the Cornish coastal waters as well as deeper oceans.
