ARTIST’S BACKGROUND

I started doing glass at Richmond after seeing some cast glass sculptures made by RACC students displayed in a cabinet at Parkshot. I did a City and Guilds course in glass at Richmond, which I greatly enjoyed, and which led me into being interested in fused pieces.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I am interested in the way in which metals react in cast and fused glass and the different effects that can be achieved using dichroic glass on fused pieces, which to me is a mixture of art, science and ‘making club sandwiches’ with a variety of fillings.
