ARTIST’S BACKGROUND

Worked mainly in textiles and soft fabrics at Shaftesbury and Clifden centres: leaded glass copper foil, fusing, slumping, casting, lost wax.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I was inspired by Dale Chihuly's exhibition at the V&A and the way he uses colour in glass.

My personal philosophy as an artist has always been to use the richness of colour and the precision of form to generate artworks that seek to add to the pleasures of living and the working environment.

Sadly Darwin Dolinka-Korda passed away on 31st December, 2007. This page is dedicated to her memory and her inspirational love of creativity.

Darwin was a talented glass artist and a kind and patient woman who enjoyed helping others. She was really excited about being at Farnham, studying for her MA and enjoying the facilities it has to offer. Darwin is missed by her family and friends.
