ARTIST'S STATEMENT

My work is based on the concept of vision, exploring the close relationship between reality and illusion. To this effect, I use the optical and reflective qualities of glass combined with metal, found objects, wood, mirror or photography to create intriguing mirrors and objects of curiosity. These deceiving devices are visual experiences, not just objects to look at but objects to look through. I thrive on the challenge of playing with the onlooker’s mind by creating visual strategies of displacement, wonder and questioning.
