ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I have been working with kiln-formed glass for over 10 years now and produce colourful and textured pieces in both functional and decorative form. I am inspired by the lines, textures and contrasts in the natural world; seashells, bark, leaves, and the natural contours of the land. Colour and contrast are also very important in my work. Most of my pieces are either kiln-cast into/onto handmade molds or produced through lost-wax casting. I work from my studio in Marlow, Bucks and welcome commissions and collaborations. See www.juliahaywardglass.com for further details.
