ARTIST’S BACKGROUND

History: stallholder at Spitalfields market making anything that sold in the designer clothes and jewellery sector! I enjoyed the creativity and got tired of the cold. I also had a job at the V&A and especially in the Glass Gallery there started a burgeoning interest in the atmosphere and possibilities of glass. My reasons for doing glass at Richmond were that I really appreciated the friendly, open and really committed staff in the department.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Trees are a component part of an envisaged installation. The tree represents to me the Northern European sensibility of the Magical Forest. Eventually, I would like to explore a fairytale in glass.
