ARTIST’S BACKGROUND

I have been involved in art and crafts for many years. I took my A level art at Richmond Adult Community College and did a design and illustration course there. I then did stained glass for four years and extended my knowledge to take in fusing and casting glass as I have always made jewellery and wished to make fused glas jewellery.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My motivation is to produce beautiful objects that will bring a sense of the natural world into people’s homes. All my inspiration comes from nature and wild life. One theme of my work is casts done from seed heads and leaves of plants (my botanical series) and the other is my safari series which is fused work inspired by the patterns of animals eg: tiger, leopard etc.
