ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I’m currently studying glass at Morley College experimenting with a range of techniques including casting, fusing, stained glass, painting, printing, leading and copper-foiling. I am also studying courses in traditional paper-making and digital arts (3D printing and photoshop) and aim to incorporate these techniques in my practice. I am particularly interested in sustainability and using techniques which recycle materials and minimise kiln use. CONTACT Instagram: alisonwalkerglass |
ARTIST'S BACKGROUND
I graduated with a degree in Italian (history and literature), which included a year living in Naples, and this experience triggered a life long love of art history.
I subsequently spent another 2 years living overseas in Japan where I discovered the beauty of woodblock prints and other Japanese art forms.
My current part time role at the Bartlett (UCL) enables me to access the Institute of Making on my days off and experiment with a range of materials.
