ARTIST'S STATEMENT
From an early interest in stained and etched glass, I am now exploring the wonders of heat work on kiln-formed glass, through casting and fusing. Of particular interest is the revived but ancient process of Pate de Verre. This is a labour intensive and challenging process and therefore all the more gratifying when I create a pleasing piece. I do sell some of my pieces when I exhibit at some local galleries and selected fairs each year including as the Buckinghamshire Arts Weeks, Henley Arts Trail, and Christmas fairs. ARTIST'S BACKGROUND
I live in Buckinghamshire and have a studio and two kilns at home. I have an interest in both ceramics and glass and find the skill set and experience with one medium feeds inspiration for the other. Each brings its own strength and as design ideas evolve I find my choices are broadened when considering if the end results work better in ceramics or glass. Whilst able to create from home I find the facilities and interaction gained from attending RHACC extends my skill set and further provides inspiration.
