Frances Federer has been working with gilding and painting on glass almost all her working life. She has worked to commission for designers, made her own work for display and for use and has researched the subject in depth. Tapping into her long experience, she is preparing a book to appear in 2012, on its history and techniques. She is also applying her methods to the production of a line of jewellery. www.gilding.net
