ARTIST'S STATEMENT
Ian is an artist and sculptor with a wide range of experience and skills. He has gradually built up his knowledge of working processes to create his original glass sculptures and architectural works. ARTIST'S BACKGROUND
After studying sculpture at Staffordshire University (1988-91), Ian has been a cycle courier, a prop designer and a community artist. He discovered glass Ian studied fine art at Staffordshire University, (1988-91). Discovering kiln formed glass whilst working as production manager for a recycling company researching and making recycled glass tiles and paving in 2004, he completed a H.N.D in 2008 at Richmond College. He then went on to study for MA in Contemporary Crafts, specializing in glass at UCA Farnham, (2010-2012) and now has his studio practise based in Hackney, London.
