ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I specialise in casting glass and my work reflects my previous lives. My MA and residency concentrated on the concept that we all leave a trace, a memory. Referencing archaeology, the glass contains ethereal but illegible artefacts floating in layers of colour and clear glass. Surface textures were cast from archaeological remains during excavations. ARTIST'S BACKGROUND
I have had careers in archaeology and landscape planning. After retiring from competitive sport (rowing) I returned to education to pursue a more creative life, being drawn to the vibrancy and materiality of glass.
