Kevin Petrie is Professor of Glass and Ceramics at the University of Sunderland based in the National Glass Centre, where he leads the Master of Arts courses in Ceramics and Glass. Petrie is well known for his book, Glass and Print and has taught and lectured in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Germany and Denmark. He has an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the RCA and a PhD in Ceramics and Printing, from the Centre for Fine Print Research at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Kevin was recently awarded a ‘National Teaching Fellowship’ for individual excellence in supporting teaching and learning. He is the author of Glass and Print (A&C Black Publishers, 2006) and Ceramic Transfer Printing (A&C Black, Publishers, 2011).
