ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I have ideas in abundance and I enjoy working in a variety of ways and experimenting with new techniques. Much of my recent work has been casting, but I am also enjoying creating colour and pattern with fusing and slumping techniques. The natural world and my travels to remote landscapes are often the starting point of a project. The properties of glass then take their place in the development of the idea and only then can the final piece be created. CONTACT lindamorleyarts.co.uk |
ARTIST'S BACKGROUND
I have always been interested in the visual arts and spent many years as an art, design and technology teacher. In recent years I have concentrated on exploring and developing my own artistic interests. I have worked in metal but my need to experiment with colour and light ultimately led me to start working with glass. Initially, I worked with a combination of silver and glass to create unique pieces of jewellery, but as my passion for glass grew, so did the scale, and now I am enjoying creating sculptural works in glass.
