ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I am mainly inspired by nature...how can one not be? Much of my own glasswork begins as a drawing which I then print onto glass and fuse and slump. I joined a Gilding Masterclass with Frances Federer at the IFG in 2008 and I now teach Verre Eglomise and gild my work when appropriate I am currently working on using my printed glass in layers on a small scale for jewellery. Exploring shape and colour and working more 3 dimensionally. I am a member of the Magic Lantern Society (MLS) and I work on glass slides for projection. A truly exciting process to see my small scale work as large as I would like almost and how magnification changes the mark making I have been working on optical chromotrope slides (similar to a kaleidoscope) onto buildings. The MLS created a You Tube video of my work last year CONTACT [email protected] www.pipstaceyglass.com www.instagram.com/pippa_stacey |
