Rachel Phillips' work can be found everywhere from castles to chemical toilets and she believes in the ability of glass to enrich any environment. She has designed and made commissions for a variety of public and private buildings, including World Heritage sites. She is inspired by other three-dimensional applied arts such as carving, textiles and ceramics and their ability to embody the narrative of human experience in rich symbolic and decorative languages.
Rachel is Pembrokeshire-based and has been practising stained glass as an applied art in architecture for over twenty years. She specialises in traditional stained glass techniques and was specialist stained glass painting tutor at the internationally renowned Swansea School of Glass for over a decade. She continues to deliver glass painting workshops as part of her creative practice. https://rachelphilipsglass.com |
